The necessity to be focus in marketing

After you separate your global market into segments, now you need to be focus on what kind of segment you are going to enter. Why? You only have limited resources.

With this resource limitation you can not grab all market opportunities. You need to wisely choose what segment you are going to be focus on.

Potential skill and specialties assessment will be needed for choosing the right segment of market you want to enter. Going in to a market segment that is very unfamiliar with you will take longer time for you to grab the market and gain something good for you. It will take longer time to learn and to develop proper system.

Being focus in marketing is a must. We have to find our strength and potential skill before we find the right market segment to enter. Once we have the assessment on our capability we then choose the right market segment that is reachable for us.

Assessing our strength and potential skill is not the only thing that we should bear in mind. We must also make such assessment on whether the market segment will accept our existence or not. A suitable market segment may have been crowded with many competitors that is very difficult for us to come in and play.

Once you have finished with your assessment then you are ready to focus on that segment. Give your best effort on that segment only, remember your resources limitation. Sometimes we are seduced to grab another segment because just any other businessmen we are willing to make more money with more market share. But this can be useless as we waste our precious resources for anything that we are not very good at.

Aim your market like a hunter points his gun to the hunted. Just focus on your market segment.
