Type of products in business opportunity II

Intangible product

What I mean with intangible product is something unphysical that brings benefit to other. What kind of product would that be? Let’s take “information” as one example.

Sometimes people find some difficulties starting their own business just because lack of information. They just don’t know where to start, where to get the product, where to market it. They don’t know what kind of business would be a good opportunity to start with. In this case, they need information.

If someone needs information and you, on the other hand, have that information, then you can start your business. The information that you have is your product or merchandise if I may say so. This is something you can sell. Newspaper is a good example for the kind of business that sells information as their merchandise.

So, start to think what information that you have and valuable enough for other people. Then you have your business.

Service

You can do something valuable to others and gain some money from your service. This is a business too. Just like selling products or selling information, you can also sell your ability. The more specific your ability is the higher money you will get.

You can also market your ability to do something useful to other (my simple definition for service) by using the internet. You can share whatsoever your ability is, how this ability can give benefit for your prospective customer, how to reach you and so on all through the internet. After that you just wait people who interested to contact you.

When the opportunity to do business seemed so small

Sometimes the opportunity to do business is making us quite down because the real world does not always run the way we want it. If you run the entertainment business in the place which implementing a religious regulation for example, you might find some trouble with your market when let’s say the regulation forbids people to attend any place like yours in a certain day or certain months. But this situation certainly should not make us become hopeless. I have two tips for you at least.

In this kind of situation, it is important for us to maintain our market. Maybe your market has become smaller than before, but that is okay. Just maintain what you have and don’t bother yourself with those who temporarily walk away from you. Remember that this situation is only happening temporarily. Maintaining your present market is no less important because this market will see you as a faithful businessman.

If this situation happens on regular basis, then you can also create another business to anticipate this situation before it happens. The first year maybe you still learn the way of doing your business, but make sure you don’t let this situation happen again in the next year. You have to be creative in opening another opportunity to your business.

A farmer for example, they don’t usually plant rice in their field for the whole year. When the season for rice planting is over, the farmer will find another plant to invest. They don’t just wait without doing anything but they create something in between.

Type of products in common business

When we are entering into such experience like finding an opportunity to have a business, we are going to meet a lot of products which are being offered in the internet.

In here, I try to categorize those kinds of product into three types and they are:

Physical products

You can sell something that you have through the internet and make money from it. Physical products mean that the object that you sell or the object which generates money for you are the product that you can actually touch or see or feel. In short, you can access these products physically. Let’s say that you have a good product like a doll, car spare parts, something that you invented, a dog, mineral water and many more. You can use the internet as a good tool to make your product be known to your market. You can put the information about you, your product, where to get them, how much the price is, how to contact you and everything else.

Internet has provided you a good opportunity to run your business. With the help of internet you can market your product into a wider space.

You can make your business into something real money when someone in the internet finds your product interesting and make a contact with you. And after that you can deliver the physical product and he will transfer the money.

I will continue with another type in the next post, but for now I’d like to suggest you to see what kind of physical product that you have. Maybe you can start identify what kind of product that you can possibly sell. This is a good opportunity for you to start your business.

After you find something to sell, you can start to market that product in the internet. Internet provides us many opportunities to advertise everything that we have, even for free. Or if you have some money you can also choose to buy an advertising space in the internet. And after that you just have to wait someone to contact and make a deal with you.

“To err is human,” they say. In a way this is a right statement. Off course by saying that we are not trying to avoid from the responsibility for doing the best in our business.

Sometimes making a mistake is unavoidable to everyone who is looking for the right business opportunity. Therefore we don’t need to be so afraid of doing it. As long as we have the commitment to do the best in our life, we can turn our mistake into something positive.

  4. On what level of business you are willing to develop yourself?
  5. Are you ready to sacrifice you spare time learning how other people or other business achieved their success?

  7. Can you drive your fear into something powerful to direct your business?

  9. Can be sure about being an entrepreneur with all the risk behind that status or maybe you just happy of being a safe worker?
