One of his ways of creating business is by becoming a problem solver for other businessmen. So, every time he comes to other’s company he is not just marketing his products or services, instead he is talking as a friend who gives a good suggestion for other people’s company. He is usually successful with this manner because other people will see a real benefit from his suggestion and will interest to buy anything from him.

What I’m trying to say is that it is important to pay attention on quality. Even though this is just a hobby of yours, something you do in your spare time, you still need to make it as professional as possible if you are going to turn it into a business.

For example you like to take picture with your camera. Photography is your hobby while you are currently working in an oil company with has nothing to do with photography. Now you are planning to turn your photography hobby into a business opportunity by taking an opportunity to take a wedding party during your off days. This is a good opportunity to make. If you are having an order from your friend to be his photographer in his wedding party then you can consider yourself lucky because this can be a start for your own business without having to leave your main job.

However, this opportunity is coming up because your friend has already known you. What does it take to get another order from other people? First, you need this experience for a start. You should thank your friend for letting you to become his photographer. Once you take this opportunity, learn how to do it well. Second, take a photography course in order to increase your quality. Maybe all this long you learn photography from your experience or from the book. Now consider to take a serious course so you will learn more techniques and experience.

In the end your self esteem is raising and you can start to market your service by creating a brochure or name card and share it to anyone that might probably need your service. And finally you can see how this business is arising.

Do not underestimate your hobby. If you like to write, painting, taking photograph, antique collector, book collector or even bird, camping, hiking whatsoever, you may start to connect these hobbies with good opportunities to do business.

Usually people see hobby as something you love do during your spare time. That makes you keep waiting for your spare time because you want to do your hobby. While doing your hobby you may not think anything else but to amuse your self until your spare time is over and you get back to your boring job. You don’t have to feel this way.

Let’s now turn our hobby into a business opportunity. I knew some young professionals who love to go out for camping. They have been doing this since they were in high school. Now as they grown up, they turn what they love most into a business. They escort other executives to go out camping. They design some games that suitable for executives like outward bound where every body can learn about something during and through the game. These young professionals work for their own career every day. They do this hobby business during their spare times or if they received order while they are busy, they just contact their friends or relatives to work something out for the order. They continue this business not just as money maker but as their hobby.

Useful tips from business opportunities: The need of integrity in doing business

Sometimes people tell me that we can do everything in business as long as it is possible to make some money. So it seemed that money is above all else in business. Frankly speaking I don’t agree with this opinion.

Integrity is the unity of everything you say with everything you do. It is not a right thing to cheat in doing business just because you want to make some money from someone that you make business transactions with. In short term, maybe this action can produce you some money. But this is not a business, instead it is a stealing. You steal a good value from other person that is their buying power and take it for you without giving a proper value in return for him. This is not a transaction in its very nature.

On long term basis this kind of action will do nothing good for you. Instead, people will see you as non reliable person.

Integrity can be understood as a quality of being honest and morally upright. This is a good value of a person that we should keep in our life as well as in business.

If people recognize you as someone with integrity, they will love to make transaction with you. They trust you for delivering good value of product or service as much money as they pay you. Your business will stand for a long time if people know you as a trustworthy person.

Be realistic on determining business target

When you set up a target, make sure that you have made it realistically.

Sometime we tend to make a very high target on our business. We think that this high target will bring us spirit to achieve more in whatsoever we do. We don’t realize the risk and consequences of failing to reach this target.

It is good to have a high standard of target but you surely have to measure your capacity. Is your capacity enough to achieve that target? There is no good point of have such target that you never reach. If you keep doing it you will sooner or later find yourself bored and exhausted. You then will totally stop doing whatever you do. You don’t find satisfaction and spirit to achieve more.

It is okay to have a little target as long as you can achieve it completely. By doing this you will know for sure that you have enough capacity for that target. Then you can learn from that experience and capacity assessment whether you still able to set a higher target or maybe you need to expand your capacity in order to make higher achievement.

Whatever you set in you business, either capacity assessment or target determination you need to make it as realistic as possible.

Are you a nine-to-five person who works from behind your desk with single income? Don’t change your job that quick, it’s not easy to find a new job. But you surely can swell up your income without quitting your current job.

It was fantastic and you won’t easily recognize that the handy craft your were looking at was before taken up from trash. This kind of creativity can produce money and save the planet in the same time by turning wasted things into some valuable merchandise.

Most of people love to kill time with nothing to do. This is such a waste of time. I’m not an anti-relaxation kind of guy. Vacation, holiday and taking rest are something I love to have during my spare time. But with a little effort we can think of something more possible to make money during that spare time.

I knew a guy who loves to travel to Bali. On his way to Bali, he stopped at Yogyakarta and bought some wooden antiques. He brought those things and sold them in Bali. He knew that in Bali he would meet a lot of foreign people from around the world that might have interest on those traditional antiques he took from Yogyakarta. He made a good sale while he was on vacation.

As we can see here, there are a lot of opportunities to do business around us. All we need to do is to open our mind and our eyes. I hope these simple tips and ideas would bring any good to you.
