The importance of stay focus, team work and take action in starting your own business: a simple business tips before you run your own business

It is great to have your own business. To have your own small business brings you many benefits and reward. You can manage your own schedule, you can choose to do everything that you love to do and you can even work from the comfortable of your home and getting close to your family at the same time developing your business.

Dreaming to have a small business from home is nice, but don’t just dream about it. Take action to make your dream come true. First thing you have to remember before you start your own business is to make sure that you still have enough money if everything goes unlikely you expect. So if you are still working for somebody and get some income from your current job, do not leave it. At first you need to sacrifice your time by starting your business outside the office hours. The business will be small but that is okay, at least you take a simple step and you still have monthly income to support your daily needs.

Denise Dahl, an author of small business has written some good advice about how to start your own business. Denise wrote: “Get your focus on. A business plan is nice, as it gives you a path; however staying focused is the numero uno requirement of getting to where you want to go. If investing a ton of time into a business plan helps you process, go for it! If investing a ton of time into a business plan is more of a distraction do a different type of strategic plan. If you are a new business a business plans 'projections' are pure fiction, so create and implement a plan that is going to help you stay focused and forget what you 'feel' you should create. Along the lines of staying focused, do not go out and buy a bunch of stuff that will just distract you. Same goes for office space. Until you know your specifics and have a focused timeline limit the distractions.”

Obviously, staying focus on our action is the most or the first important thing to Denise and she wants us to do the same. Just stay focus, do not spend to much time planning and not doing anything. Stay focus, just do it and do no let anything distract you when you are focusing on your own business.

Denise then continued: “Know yourself...I am talking honest assessment. None of us are perfect so what we are looking for here is to know ourselves well enough to work with and around what we know may be self-imposed stumbling blocks, etc. Know your family/friends...If you have a vision and in your gut know you are on the right path stay on it. Family and friends have the propensity to err on the side of caution or sometimes criticism when it comes to something they are not familiar with. Accept it is from a place of love, or jealousy or wherever and do not let it deter you. Find the like minded...Find those who think like you and are on the path or down the path you want to go. There is tremendous value in tapping into the experience of someone who is ahead of you. Trust me, they will be flattered you asked.”

In this part, Denis stresses on the importance of working with a team. A team can comprises of family members or friends. We need them to help us. No one is able to start their own business absolutely alone. You have to work in a team anyway. So stay focus and develop your team.

The last thing once again is “Take action”...Proceed with action rather than just chatter. It is up to you to act. Act on your own behalf as it will be you who experiences the outcome. Do not expect others to carry you. This is your deal and your experience. That is not to say don't ask for help. Just don't overextend your stay when tapping into others. Without any action there will be no business at all even though you have a great value of business plan. Without an action, it means nothing.
